DESCRIPTION:The City of Saskatoon is partnering with the Canada Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) to host a FREE workshop on Emerald Ash Borer (EAB)\nsurveillance. \nThe workshop will consist of two parts: a hybrid classroom session (open to all) and a hands-on skill building session on prism trap\ndeployment and branch sampling (limited availability). \nPlease RSVP for the hybrid link and to reserve your spot for the in-person session:\nhttps://forms.office.com/r/fi9LNmVxVh \nWorkshop Content\nThe classroom session will be available both in-person and online\, covering EAB\nbiology\, survey methodology\, regulations\, and more. Following this\, there will be a Q&A\nsession to compare and discuss current surveillance strategies. \nThe skill building session will take place in-person and focus on best practices in prism\ntrap placement\, including a demonstration and chance for attendees to practice\ndeploying their own traps. We will also demonstrate the EAB branch sampling protocol\,\ngiving attendees a chance to familiarize themselves with the process. \nSupplies\nWe ask that in-person attendees bring the following supplies for the skill building\nsession portion of the workshop.
