SUMMARY:Farm Resilience Mentorship (FaRM) Program
DESCRIPTION:The Farm Resilience Mentorship (FaRM) Program is pleased to launch a call for letters of intent (LOI) for FaRM Field Trials\, opening on November 3rd\, 2025. The focus of the program is on increasing regional support and knowledge transfer in low emissions\, high resilience Beneficial Management Practices (BMPs) by engaging agricultural professionals\, in partnership with farmers and ranchers\, to run field trials. The low emissions\, high resilience Beneficial Management Practices (BMPs) supported through this program are: \n\n\nImproved Nitrogen Management \n\n\nCover Cropping \n\n\nRotational Grazing \n\n\nThis initiative seeks to specifically support: \n\n\nOvercoming regional barriers to BMP implementation\, and \n\n\nTroubleshooting BMP adoption through practical\, hands-on experience. \n\n\nUp to $20\,000 is available per project\, and successful applicants will be notified by early March. The deadline for LOI submission is midnight November 23\, 2025. SUMMARY:SIA Forensic Agrology - Report Writing & Case Studies Workshop - Virtual
DESCRIPTION:In this virtual Report Writing & Case Studies Workshop\, participants will build on the skills they learned in Fundamentals of Investigation and will: \n\ndevelop skills necessary to write and present reports on in-depth investigations. In-depth reports may be used in the development of policies for companies or government departments\,\n\n\nwork on case studies as part of small group learning circles\, developing the outlines of a final report. Data sets will be provided along with stated issues\, allowing attendees to determine the problems at the base of the situation\, identify root causes of the problem(s)\, and recommend solutions\,\n\n\ncomplete a take-away assignment and submit a final written report for grading\, and\n\n\nlearn how to be an expert witness in court.\n\nReport Writing and Case Studies will benefit all agrologists at any stage of a career\, however\, it will likely be of most interest to those with experience in dealing with problems with producers or who “trouble-shoot” or perform program or policy development. \nPrerequisite: Fundamentals of Investigation Workshop \nDate: Wednesday\, November 19\, 2025\nWhere: Online\nTime: 9:00 am to 3:30 pm\nCost: $266.00 (Price Includes GST) \nREGISTER TODAY \nRegistration deadline: November 17\, 2025 \nThis workshop builds on the learning from the Fundamentals of Investigation workshop and counts as CPD hours.\nFor those wishing to become Forensic Agrologists\, they must attend all SIA Forensic Agrology Workshops at least once.
