2021 4R Workshop Webinar Series

The Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture Crops Extension Specialists are putting on a workshop series to go over the basics of 4R for fertilizer use. The series will take place on January 25 to 28 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. daily. 1 CEU for each webinar.
THE RIGHT SOURCE – JAN. 25, 2021 AT 9 A.M.
This workshop session will cover why it is important to select the correct fertilizer source for your soils and desired crop to avoid unnecessary cost, damage to your crop, and potential fertilizer loss into the environment.
This session will cover the different ways fertilizer can be placed to ensure that your crop has access to the nutrients it needs and how to reduce fertilizer loss by leaching or volatilization.
This session will cover why it is critical to make sure your crop gets the nutrients it needs when it needs it. Accurately timing fertilizer applications will reduce the risk of damaging your crop and losses through runoff and leaching.
The Right Rate workshop will focus on the significance of applying fertilizer that will meet the crops requirements while considering the nutrients available in the soil.
