Greenhouse Gas Emissions in Agriculture Sector of Saskatchewan

According to Awada et al. (2015) the adoption of zero tillage (ZT) helps mitigate agricultural GHG emissions. They have found that the estimated benefits of ZT due to reduced GHG emissions on the Prairies amount to $997.6 million over the period of 1985-2012. Those benefits were resulted from sequestered carbon, reduced CO2 emissions from fuel consumption and reduced N2O emissions related to nitrogen fertilizer.

How to Define and Report CPD

CPD can include activities such as: attending (or presenting at) conferences, workshops, courses, seminars, scientific meetings (field days) or webinars. It can include: reading journals, scientific articles or researching and writing articles related to their practice area. Or other activities that document competency in a scope of practice. CPD generally does not include: staff meetings, reading weekly farm papers and magazines or attending trade shows, fairs and exhibitions because these activities usually do not have the scientific rigour of the above listed examples of CPD.
