2025 Top Crop Summit – Feb 25 & 26, 2024

February 25 @ 9:00 am - February 26 @ 5:00 pm

The 2025 Top Crop Summit – Expert insight to ace the season

In agriculture, learning never stops. Every growing season brings unique challenges with unpredictable weather and markets, as well as troublesome pests. With advancing technology and climate challenges, it’s more important than ever to stay up to date with the latest agriculture research. Top Crop Manager is pleased to present the 2025 Top Crop Summit, the tenth annual agronomic conference dedicated to sharing new research and insight to improve farm management practices and establish a strong foundation for the upcoming growing season.

“For ten years, Top Crop Manager has hosted a conference centered around the incredible new agricultural research continuously happening across Canada,” says Kaitlin Berger, Editor of Top Crop Manager – West. “It’s an exciting opportunity for farmers, researchers and industry professionals to network with each other, discover the latest research and learn how it applies to their business.”

The Top Crop Summit is a two-day event held on February 25-26 in Saskatoon that will feature sessions designed with Western Canadian farmers in mind. “The first day of the event will be a full day of sessions with lunch, snacks and networking,” Berger says. “It’s a great chance for farmers, agronomists, researchers and industry stakeholders to mingle and learn together.”

With a theme of soil and water for the second day, attendees can look forward to sessions on AI and soil, the foundation of soil fertility, potassium fertility in prairie soils and more. The second day of the summit includes a buffet breakfast and ends just after noon.

The summit will be packed with dynamic speakers and exciting sessions on waterhemp, wheat insect pests, perennializing marginal lands, cover crops and more. Ian Affleck will present the keynote address on day one – the future of gene editing. Felippe Karp will present the keynote address on day two, featuring information to demystify the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Canadian crop production systems.

Registration for the Top Crop Summit is open now, with an early bird price of $137.00 (valid until Jan. 15, 2025). CCA and CCSC continuing education credits will be offered.
