The Canadian Prairies Trusted Advisor Partnership (CP TAP) equips agronomists, industry leaders, and other agriculture industry professionals with advanced knowledge in soil health management science and practice. The course is designed to address the unique crop production challenges of the Canadian Prairies. Topics include zone-based management, intercropping and cover cropping, fertility management, weed management, integrating livestock and grain crop production, and agronomic consulting. Through an Internet-based peer network, participants will have access to agronomy expertise long after the course has concluded.
The training is Internet-based and provides flexibility to agronomists and others seeking to bolster their skills and knowledge. The course will count towards Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) certification and provincial agrology licensing requirements. Participants will also receive a certificate of completion to document their training.
The training is offered in partnership with Sustainable Food Lab, Nature United, and industry partners. Canadian Prairies TAP is built on the Northern Plains TAP model and its curriculum has been adapted to the Canadian Prairies.
