North Battleford Session: Indigenous Agriculture & Food Systems Engagement

May 1 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

The Ridge – MGBHLM Economic Development Battleford, SK

Friday, May 1  •  10 AM – 4 PM
Overview

Join us in North Battleford for a community-based conversation on Indigenous agriculture and food systems.

As part of the Indigenous Agriculture & Food Systems (IAFS) National Engagement, Farm Credit Canada and Mokwateh are hosting local, in-person Community Engagement Sessions to listen to community-defined priorities, experiences, and challenges related to agriculture, food security, and food systems.

These sessions are community-grounded and relational, creating space for open, respectful dialogue. They centre lived experience and regional perspectives, bringing together Indigenous community members, producers, entrepreneurs, and knowledge holders to share what is working, what is not, and what matters most in your community and region.

Input from these sessions will help validate and deepen insights gathered through regional workshops and other engagement activities, ensuring that community-level realities meaningfully inform the national understanding of Indigenous agriculture and food systems.

We invite you to join us for a meaningful, facilitated discussion that puts community voices first and reflects local priorities, challenges, and aspirations.
