Calling all adventurers!
Come and discover the native plants found in our own backyard of the province of Saskatchewan. This is a rare opportunity to come join your fellow agrologists as we embark on a fun-filled walking tour at Wanuskewin hosted by Saskatchewan’s sought-after ethnobiologist and archaeologist Sandra Walker, author of The Path to Wild Food: Edible Plants & Recipes.
Sandra will be taking us on an exciting journey around the Wanusekwin Heritage Park, teaching us about the relationship between the land and Indigenous peoples, our role as stewards of the ecosystems we live in, and past and present resource use and survival.
As an agrologist and environmental steward, here is your chance to discover your own deeper appreciation of our history of the land and the native plants that helped define it. You won’t want to miss this event!
