SIA Saskatoon Branch is proud to partner with the Meewasin Valley Authority to bring you this exciting activity, Invasive Species Management – Nodding Thistle on July 23, 2025, at 4:30 pm.
Nodding thistle is an invasive plant that can sometimes grow as tall as a Christmas tree. While its flowers are beautiful, it seeds rapidly and needs to be removed. We will supply hand tools that help knock the seed heads off the thistle, making removal easier, more effective, and they are incredibly satisfying to knock down.
We will enjoy the beauty of the Meewasin Valley while helping to support biodiversity in the area.
Learn from Meewasin’s team as they share fascinating facts while we explore one of our favorite spots on the river.
This activity qualifies as a branch activity for articling milestones and as CPD.
